In the harsh world of Rust, every edge matters — especially during wipe day or early progression. One of the most underrated tools? Teas. If you’re not using teas, you're missing out on insane buffs for farming, healing, radiation protection, and scrap gains.
How to get the Mixing Table
There are three ways to obtain the Mixing Table:
- Buy it at the Bandit Camp for 175 scrap
- Craft it with 200 metal fragments and 100 stone (Workbench Tier 1 required)
- Research it at a research table for 75 scrap
- Crafting time: 30 seconds. If you’re going to take tea seriously, get a few of these for batch production.
Berry Basics
Teas in Rust are made from berries. You can find berry bushes randomly across the map. Each bush gives one berry and one seed when picked.
You can plant berry seeds in planters and even clone them to scale up your production.
Berry types:
Red
Blue
Green
Yellow
White
Tea Levels: Basic, Advanced, Pure
Teas have 3 strength levels:
- Basic: made directly from berries
- Advanced: created by combining 4 Basic teas of the same type
- Pure: made by combining 4 Advanced teas of the same type
The higher the tier, the stronger and longer the effect. Pure teas are the gold standard for serious players.
Rust tea recipes
Max Health Tea
Recipe: Red, Red, Red, Yellow
Use this before raids or long PvP sessions.
- Basic: +5% max HP
- Advanced: +12.5%
- Pure: +20%
Healing Tea
Recipe: Red, Red, Red, Red
Best used with food and bandages.
- Basic: Restores 30 HP over time
- Advanced: +5 instant + 50 over time
- Pure: +10 instant + 75 over time
Ore Tea
Recipe: Yellow, Blue, Yellow, Blue
Great for mining nodes and quarries.
- Basic: +20% ore yield
- Advanced: +35%
- Pure: +50%
Wood Tea
Recipe: Red, Blue, Red, Blue
Ideal for Chainsaw sessions and early wipe wood grinds.
- Basic: +50% wood
- Advanced: +100%
- Pure: +200%
Scrap Tea
Recipe: Yellow, White, Yellow, White
Use this before hitting monuments or heavy NPC zones.
- Basic: +50% scrap
- Advanced: +100%
- Pure: +200%
Anti Rad Tea (радиационная защита)
Recipe: Red, Red, Green, Green
Must-have for Launch Site, Oil Rig, and Military Tunnels.
- Basic: +5% rad resistance + 50% rad exposure resistance
- Advanced: +15% + 50%
- Pure: +25% + 50%
How to Use Teas Effectively
- Drink teas before the activity (farming, raiding, looting) — timers don’t pause
- You can drink different types of teas at once (e.g., Red + Blue), but not the same type twice
- New tea overrides the old one of the same type
- Use multiple Mixing Tables to speed up batch brewing
- Keep a stock of Pure teas for key moments
